Quick Time to Value - Learning from the Customer Experience Team at Guidewheel
When manufacturing leaders reach out to Guidewheel to assess us as a potential solution to their business challenges, they often want to understand what is needed to set up Guidewheel and how quickly they can get a return on their investment. Here, we share the first in several posts with Q&A on those topics with the Guidewheel teammates who work closely with our customers to get them set up and quickly achieve business impact with Guidewheel.
In this first post, we dive into the question: How long does it really take to get Guidewheel set up?
Answer from our implementation team:
Currently, our team aims for around 5-10 days from receipt of equipment to Guidewheel training, although we also work around your schedule so you can plan the setup into the schedule of your maintenance team’s availability. The Guidewheel team is here throughout to support with any questions, and prepared to move as quickly as you are!
Guidewheel ships a starter kit the same day you sign a contract, and the kit typically arrives within a few days. Once your team receives the setup kit, they follow an easy installation guide to clip the system on your machines. We typically allocate a few days for install, although teams can get Guidewheel installed in as little as a few hours.
When there is a delay, it typically happens once the hardware is onsite but before the team has started setting up the system and realizing how straightforward it is. Once the installation is started, they often comment on how easy it was, and how much they wish they could have prioritized it to happen earlier.
Once the sensors are clipped on and data is flowing, you can have visibility that same day—although to use your team’s time well, we generally recommend waiting about two days to do a calibration exercise together with our team.
Once the system is calibrated, we then launch into kickoff with role-based workflow trainings. Role-based training, which means we support your operators with training on different workflows than your maintenance planner or your VP Ops, helps optimize each of your team members’ time with us.
In each of these trainings, our team not only personalizes Guidewheel based on role and workflows, but also works with each team member to find their first useful insight with Guidewheel so the system can start delivering value right away.
