Improve team communication and collaboration

This is the third of a series of three posts describing common challenges on the factory floor, along with new Safi features designed to help solve them. The first post described new features designed to help address the challenge of finding out about problems too late, and the second outlined ways Safi can be used to systematize problem-solving.

Challenge #3: Staying on top of everything across the team 

Inefficient communication, miscommunication, dropped balls or duplication of efforts can be challenges for any team. You might struggle to stay on top of everything that’s happening across several different systems of communication - WhatsApp groups, phone calls, whiteboards, logbooks, etc. - and find team meetings devolving into finger-pointing or arguments about what happened.

What to do in Safi: Use the Feed as a shared source of truth

Because it shows the “machine truth” of what happened, we hear from many teams that use Safi as a shared source of truth in team meetings so they can fix problems right away and not waste time arguing about what happened. 

Now, Safi’s new Feed page makes it even easier to use Safi to stay on top of what happened - or is happening - in the factory. The Feed brings together all of the events already happening in Safi - alerts, production scheduling, production completion, issues created, etc. - with any other team communication into one central place. You can click in to each post for more details on the event.  

Using Safi’s Feed instead of WhatsApp or email provides additional value because it is - like anything in Safi - paired with the real-time “machine truth” just a click away to help you put data at the center of any conversation.
